Obituary for Wallace Soper

Wallace Lee Soper, passed away October 20, 2018 at his home while in hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 5, 1937 to Clarence and Thelma Soper in Bad Axe, Michigan.
Wally joined the US Navy April 29, 1955 and served until July 18, 1963. He married C. Nancy Soper on January 13, 1962. They were married for almost 57 years. They had 3 children, son Mark A. Soper, Kris E. Soper, and daughter, Dione N. Kallstrom; 3 grandchildren, Brianna M. Soper, Kayla A. Soper, and Gibson E. Kallstrom. He will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports. Wally loved competitive fishing and belonged Northern’s Inc., Fishing Club of Brainerd.
Wally was preceded in death by their son Kris E. Soper, his parents; sister, Sandra Bucemi,;sister-in-law, Donna Soper; stepmother, Victoria Soper; brother-in-law, Lynn Matuszak.
He leaves behind wife, Nancy; son, Mark; daughter, Dione M. (Christopher) Kallstrom; granddaughters: Brianna and Kayla; grandson, Gibson Kallstrom: sisters: Sharon Patterson, Mary Ellen (Rick) Mallek; brother, Richard Soper; sister-in-law, Kathy Matuszak and many nieces.

He is deeply missed and loved!
