Obituary for Douglas Allen Mueller

Douglas Allen Mueller
Doug Mueller, age 68, passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer. Doug grew up in North Minneapolis, graduated from DeLaSalle High School, and was drafted into the Army in 1970. He married and raised two wonderful children. He married his wife Pat in 1984. After working at Sears for 21 years, he moved on to manage Cherokee Ace Hardware for 21 years. He and Pat retired, and were able to fulfill Doug's dream of living on Gull Lake. For Doug Minnesota had only 3 seasons: duck, deer, and fishing! He had a full life made better by spending time with the family he loved, duck camp, a cold Mich Golden, mowing the lawn, walleye and muskie fishing. He will be remembered for saying, "of course I can fix it.”
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Pat Mueller; children, Denise Hosch, Ryan (Karen) Mueller; step-children, Mark (Sue) Sturm, Cindy (Brian) Bona; 7 grandchildren; mother, Eleanor Lindeman; sisters, Mary Fiederer, Michele (Cody) Ryan; many good friends; and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on June 22 at the Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd. Visitation will be one hour prior the service.
Arrangements are with the Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
