The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.
Mardelle “Patsy” Mogensen was born on March 22, 1937 to Irene(Franzen) and Joseph C. Vanek. She was united in marriage to Fredy “Mutt” Mogensen in November of 1952. The couple had 5 children: Patricia(Dale) Wing, Keith(Carol) Mogensen, Bruce(KellyJo) Mogensen, Timothy(Brenda) Mogensen and Rick Mogensen, and 14 grandchildren: Freddy, Mandy, Travis, Justin, Nate, Dorothy, SarahJo, Mathew, Teresa, Brooke, Aubrey, AshLeigh, Lexi and Daniel and great-grandchildren: Eli, Jasper, Brooke, Wyatt, Noah, Celeste, Ariel, Zorey, Ella, Grady, Kylee, Jayden, and Tanner. She is preceded in death by both parents, sister Joanne(Vanek) Wilson, and her husband Fredy.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brainerd, with Pastor Mark Skinner. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 15 from 5-7 PM at the Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Long Lake Township.
Arrangements are with the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
